Boston Wrap-up

The Warner Warriors opened the JWHL season by going an impressive 5-0.  On Sunday the girls wrapped-up the weekend by defeating the Washington Pride 3-1.  Shannon MacAulay led the way with 2 goals and Heather Berzins also found the net leading the offense.  Jade Walsh picked up her fifth win of the weekend and was solid in all 5 games.  On Saturday the girls skated to a 2-1 victory over the Boston Shamrocks.  The Warriors grinded out the win on the strength of goals from Brittney Redlick and Heather Berzins.  Earlier in the day the Warriors defeated NAHA 3-2.  Heather Berzins scored 2 goals including the game winner, and Jessica Sibley also found the score sheet to help lead the offense.  On friday the Warriors earned two victories against the Colorado Selects and NSA.   They opened the JWHL season with a 5-1 win over NSA.  Shannon MacAulay led the way with 2 goals and Montana Kitt, Ivana Bilic and Sam Sutherland pitched in with 1 goal a piece.  The girls also defeated Colorado 6-3 with Brittney Redlick scoring 2 goals and Heather Berzins, Brittney Sawyer, Jessica Sibley and Shannon MacAulay providing singles.  It was a great weekend for the team and an impressive start to the 2011/2012 JWHL season!
