The Warriors finished the JWHL West Weekend in Vancouver, BC with a record of 2 wins and 2 losses. On Sunday the girls skated to a hard fought 3-1 victory over the Minnesota Thoroughbreds. It was a penalty filled game where the Warriors outshot the Thoroughbreds 57 - 12. Shannon MacAulay led the way with 2 goals and Jessica Sibley added a goal and 2 assists. Saturday night the Warriors suffered a tough 5-4 loss to Balmoral Hall. The girls had a 4-0 lead heading into the third period and fell apart giving up 5 goals in the final period to take the loss. Jessyka Holt had 2 goals in the game and Sam Sutherland and Desirae Kuhlmann each had a goal. Earlier on Saturday the girls suffered a 2-1 loss to the Calgary Edge. Jessica Sibley opened the scoring for the Warriors but Edge replied with two third period goals to take the victory. The Warrior's opened the weekend with a 2-1 victory over the Pacific Steelers. Sam Sutherland and Shannon MacAulay provided the offense with Abigail Clarke earning the victory in goal. The JWHL season continues in November with a trip to Winnipeg, MB.
