The Warner Warriors came up one game short in the 2012 JWHL Playoffs in Littleton, Colorado. The girls fell 4-2 in the final to the North American Hockey Academy (NAHA). It was a tight game with the score 1-1 after 1 period and 2-2 after two periods. Brittney Redlick gave the girls the lead in the first period before NAHA tied it up with less than 15 seconds to play in the period on a controversial goal. In the second, NAHA took the lead before Sam Sutherland scored on the power-play to make it 2-2 heading into the final period. In the third, NAHA scored twice to win this years league championship. It was a tough loss for the girls as they played very well throughout the weekend and battled hard until the end. On Saturday night the Warriors defeated the Boston Shamrocks in the semi-final 5-0. Jessyka Holt led the way scoring two goals with Shannon MacAulay, Ivana Bilic and Heather Berzins also finding the back of the net. Goaltender Abigail Clarke picked up the shut-out in goal stopping all the shots she faced. Earlier on Saturday the girls earned a solid 8-3 victory over the Washington Pride. Mackenzie Ebel and Nicole Blanche each had 2 goals a piece to lead the offense. Shannon MacAulay, Heather Berzins, Sam Sutherland & Desirae Kuhlmann rounded out the scoring with Jade Walsh getting the win in goal. The Warriors opened with a 7-4 win over the Colorado Selects. The line of Shannon MacAulay, Sam Sutherland and Brittney Redlick scored 6 of the Warriors goals with Shannon picking up a hat trick, Redlick potting 2 and Sam Sutherland picking up one goal. Mackenzie Ebel also found the back of the net and Abigail Clarke picked up the victory in goal. Congratulations to the girls on a great season and on winning a silver medal in the highly competitive JWHL.
